2025-2026 PRE-K APPLICATION NOW OPEN!
We are now accepting applications for our Virginia Preschool Initiative PreK program. Each of our elementary schools has at least one PreK class for 4-year-old students who are eligible for the program. To review eligibility requirements and complete an application, please visit https://www.colonialhts.net/page/early-childhood-program.
Due to the incoming severe weather threat, all after-school activities, including those for Spring sports, are cancelled for today. We will continue to monitor the weather if further adjustments are needed.
The Colonial Heights School Board is scheduled to meet to discuss the qualifications and next steps for the new superintendent search on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 5:30 pm. They will meet at the Colonial Heights Technical Center in the Conference Room. This message is serving as the Public Notification of the upcoming Colonial Heights School Board Meetings including the public hearing on the Superintendent's 2025-2026 budget proposal and the public hearing for Input on the Qualifications for the School Board's Search for a New Superintendent is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2025. The meetings will be held at the Colonial Heights Technical Building, 3451 Conduit Road, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.

Please note that the Budget Work Session is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM and the Closed meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm in the Technical Center Conference Room with the Regular Meeting scheduled for 6:30 pm in the Audio Visual Room.

Colonial Heights Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 20th, 2025.
Due to incoming winter weather, Colonial Heights Public Schools will be closed for all staff and students tomorrow, February 19th, 2025.
The Colonial Heights School Board announced today that it will begin the process of hiring a new superintendent by seeking public input on qualifications.
The school board has created a survey related to superintendent criteria, which is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ColonialHeights25 and on the home page of the division web site. Hard copies of the survey will also soon be available at the School Board Administration offices, at each of the schools, Colonial Heights Public Library, and Colonial Heights City Hall Welcome Center.
In addition to the survey, the board will hold a public hearing at the regularly scheduled monthly school board meeting on February 25, 2025 at 6:30pm at the CHHS Tech Center (3451 Conduit Road).
