A quick reminder that our next Cup of Comfort gatherings are happening this week! Families are invited to stop by, enjoy a warm beverage, and connect with staff in a supportive, relaxed environment.
📍 Tuesday, December 16 – 6:00 pm (includes a holiday story and craft for children in attendance)
📍 Wednesday, December 17 – 10:00am
Both events will be held in the A/V Room at the Colonial Heights Tech Center, 3451 Conduit Road Colonial Heights, VA 23834

📅Families, mark your calendars! CHPS will begin Winter Break with a half day on Friday, December 19th, and students and staff will return on Monday, January 5th, 2026.
With some snow still hanging around and chilly temps overnight, all schools will open 2 hours late on Wednesday, December 10th. Enjoy a slower, warmer start to your morning! ☕🧤

🌟 Celebrating Service & Leadership! 🌟
We are incredibly grateful to Eagle Scout Brody Ehrenfeld and his fellow scouts for their amazing contribution to our Lakeview community! As part of his Eagle Scout project, Brody and the team built three beautiful benches with canopies for our playgrounds—creating a comfortable, shaded space for our teachers.
This week, they officially presented the school with the three plaques now proudly displayed on each bench. What a thoughtful and lasting gift that will support our staff for years to come!

We are thrilled to share the results of the recent food drive led by the CHMS SCA. Thanks to the incredible generosity across our community -
🥫 595 pounds of food were donated
🍽️ That’s enough to provide 496 meals for local families
✨A huge thank you to Publix for their generous gift card donation, which further supported this effort to care for neighbors in need.✨
This success shows the power of compassion in action when our schools, students, and local partners work together to make a difference for everyone in the division.

🌟 We had a fantastic night at our regular monthly School Board Meeting, celebrating student leadership and outstanding achievement! 🌟
Our meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Tussing Elementary's SCA President and we recognized one of our outstanding Colonial Heights High School Seniors, Andy Yang. Andy, an innovator in AI and computer science, is on track to earn his Associate's Degree and has even built an app to assist the blind. Way to go, Andy!
