💙✨ Recognition, Leadership & Gratitude ✨💙

Tuesday evening’s School Board Meeting highlighted the leadership, dedication, and community spirit that define Colonial Heights Public Schools.

We were honored to have the Lakeview Elementary SCA President lead the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by recognition of Lisa Ou, Colonial Heights High School’s February Senior of the Month, for her outstanding accomplishments.

February is also School Board Appreciation Month, and we proudly recognized our School Board members and School Board Clerk for their continued service and commitment to public education. Their leadership helps ensure that our students have access to high-quality learning opportunities today and in the future. Thank you School Board!

In addition to these recognitions, the Board received a presentation from SAFE (Substance Abuse Free Environment), accepted a generous donation from Publix in support of Little Feet Meet, and heard exciting updates from our school principals.

It was an evening that reflected the heart of CHPS — student achievement, dedicated leadership, and a strong school community. 💙

💙✨ Virginia Kindness Week at CHPS ✨💙

This week, Colonial Heights Public Schools joins schools across the Commonwealth in celebrating Virginia Kindness Week.

Kindness is more than a moment — it’s a mindset. Simple, everyday acts of kindness help create schools that are safer, more inclusive, and more connected. Whether it’s offering encouragement, lending a helping hand, or simply listening, small actions can make a lasting impact.

Throughout the week, we encourage our students, staff, and families to reflect on how they can show kindness and why kindness matters. Together, we can continue building a school community where everyone feels valued and supported.

💙 Let’s continue spreading kindness across CHPS this week.
