Today marked the conclusion of our 2026 Colonial Coding Camp, where students celebrated everything they learned by sharing their projects with families and community members.
Over the last two weeks, students explored coding, robotics, and computer science through hands-on challenges that encouraged problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and perseverance. From programming robots to designing innovative solutions, campers developed skills that will serve them well both inside and outside the classroom.
A special thank you to our CHPS educators, community partners, and LEGO professionals who helped make this experience possible. We are so proud of our students and all they accomplished this week! 👏✨

💙💙💙 A Special Visit to CHPS
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Fairfax, Virginia.
The group traveled to Colonial Heights to share cookies, fruit trays, and words of encouragement as a way of thanking CHPS for the care, dedication, and support they provide to students each day.
We are grateful for their kindness—and for the "Unshakable Joy" they brought to our school community. 💙

Even during the summer months, CHPS educators continue working together to strengthen instruction and support student success.
Recently, teachers gathered for Math Curriculum Development, collaborating on resources, lessons, and instructional practices to help ensure students have meaningful learning experiences in the year ahead. 💙
This summer, CHPS is hitting the road once again to connect with students and families across Colonial Heights—and this year, we're teaming up with the City of Colonial Heights for an even bigger Back to School Bash!
