Colonial Heights Public Schools uses intentionally planned and executed curriculum and materials that align with the Virginia Department of Education's Standards of Learning. Division-wide pacing guides help guide teachers' lesson plans throughout the year. To assess students' level of mastery of various concepts in core content areas, students complete a variety of assessments. In addition, some children complete additional assessments to identify reading level, English language proficiency, workplace readiness, and other qualities of an outstanding education.
