A Chromebook is an Internet-dependent device that utilizes the Google Chrome browser for web surfing, school email, and productivity/creativity software. All students in grades 6-12 are issued a Chromebook to use in the classroom and take home for assignments. Chromebooks are also used for SOL testing. Elementary schools are stocked with 25 chromebooks in each grade level classroom.  All of our students benefit from personal computer use and instruction.

New for 2019-2020

In addition to 1:1 at the middle school and high school, all elementary grade level classrooms will have a Chromebook charging cart.  Every classroom in our school division is now capable of one-to-one instruction using Chromebooks and associated software.  Elementary Chromebooks will remain in the classroom all day and students will not take them home.
We have also created a new Parent Resource Page with additional information for parents.

Getting Started

Google Tutorials

The Google Chromebook Simulator offers tutorials and walkthroughs for popular Chromebook tasks and functions.  You don't need a Chromebook to get started.
