Superintendent Dr. Cox presents to Colonial Heights Retired Personnel Association

09/24/2010 - At their meeting and luncheon on September 21, 2010 at the Colonial
Heights Middle School library, Superintendent Dr. Joseph Cox presented
to the Colonial Heights Retired Personnel Association. He presented
highlights of the AdvanceEd Report to the group. Our school division
last year met all standards for District Accreditation through the
AdvanceEd Accreditation Commission. In his presentation, he discussed
the report's commendations about the School Board's Community Forums,
the Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Colonial Heights, and
the school division's Capital Improvement Fund. His presentation also
covered school construction projects including the Tussing window
project, construction of the new Maintenance and Facilities building,
new instructional classroom space at the Colonial Heights Technical
Center building, and the beginning phase of the Lakeview Elementary
School addition.
