02/25/2011 - Colonial Heights City Schools is a member of the MathScience
Innovation Center, a consortium of school divisions that work together
to support math and science education. One of the services the Center
offers its members is a series of fun Saturday classes for 4th and 5th
grade students on engaging topics that include the following:
LEGO: Machines and Robots
Codes, Ciphers, and Secret Messages
Computer Math Games
Crime Scene Chemistry
Electric Gadgets
M3 - Modern Math Mysteries
Image Your World
Slippery, Slimy Odd Pets
Rocks, Crystals and Gems
Snap, Crackle, Pop! Chemistry
The classes are held Saturday mornings on March 26, April 2 and April
9 at the MathScience Innovation Center in Richmond. A fee of $30 is
