Colonial Heights Schools Receives Honorable Mention in Governor's Technology Awards

09/08/2010 - Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling and Secretary of Technology Jim
Duffey presented the 2010 Governor's Technology Awards at an evening
ceremony at COVITS on September 7, 2010. Colonial Heights Schools
received an Honorable Mention for the awards category Innovation in K-12 Education.
Director of Technology and Learning Mark D. Webster accepted the award on
behalf of the school division for their nomination entitled Building a Fiber Optic Gigabit Wide Area Network.
Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling congratulated all of the recipients,
which included school divisions, universities, state agencies, and local
governments, and stated that they had received a record number of
nominations for 2010.
