Our department provides leadership and support for both information technology and instructional technology throughout the school division. This involves supporting our use of technology for classroom instruction, business operations, and school administration. Our staff has been busy implementing many new initiatives related to technology, to support our educational mission here in Colonial Heights.

Colonial Heights Staff Members Recipients of 2013 SVRTC Awards
Staff members from Colonial Heights Public Schools were honored at the 2013 Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium (SVRTC) Awards Banquet at Longwood University on March 27th, 2013. Three staff members were selected by Colonial Heights Public Schools to receive awards, including Colonial Heights High School English teacher Ms. Diana Campbell, who received the district's Technology Teacher Award. Mrs. Julie Bowles received the Colonial Heights Technology Support Award, and Mrs. Debbie Walwer received the Colonial Heights Instructional Support Award.
Dr. Mark Webster, the district's Director of Technology, was selected by the SVRTC as the consortium's recipient for the 2013 Technology Leadership Award. SVRTC is a consortium whose membership includes 25 school districts in Southside and Central Virginia. SVRTC is sponsored by the Longwood University Institute for Teaching through Technology and Innovative Practices.
